Documents

What file types can I upload?

CredFolio accepts PDF, JPG, PNG, and WebP files up to 50 MB each. PDF files generally produce the best AI extraction results.

How does AI document scanning work?

When you upload a document, CredFolio's AI (CredScan™) automatically identifies the document type, extracts key information like dates and license numbers, and categorizes it for you. Review the extracted data before confirming.

What if the AI extracted wrong information?

You can edit any extracted information before confirming. During the confirmation step, review all fields and make corrections as needed. After confirming, you can also edit documents from the Document Manager.

How many documents can I store?

Document storage limits depend on your plan:

  • Free: 10 documents

  • Pro: 60 documents

  • Premium: Unlimited

CME Tracking

How does CME tracking work?

When you add a state license, CredFolio creates a CME tracking cycle based on your license renewal date. Upload CME certificates and allocate credits toward your license requirements. CredEngine™ tracks your progress automatically.

Can I track CME for multiple states?

Yes, you can track CME credits for multiple states. With Premium, you can track unlimited state licenses. Free and Pro plans track CME for 1 state.

How do special topic requirements work?

Many states require specific CME topics like opioid prescribing or ethics. When you upload a CME certificate, tag any special topics it covers. CredFolio tracks your progress toward these requirements separately.

What is the MATE Act requirement?

The MATE Act (Medication Access and Training Expansion Act) requires DEA-registered prescribers to complete 8 hours of training on opioid/substance use disorder treatment. This is a one-time requirement effective June 27, 2023.

Sharing

How do I share credentials with an employer?

Use CredShare™ to create a secure share package. Select the documents to include, set an expiration date, and send the link. Recipients can view (but not download) your documents without creating a CredFolio account.

Can recipients download my documents?

By default, no. Recipients can view documents in the browser but cannot download them. You can enable downloads in the package settings if needed.

How many share packages can I create?

Package limits depend on your plan:

  • Free: No share packages

  • Pro: 3 active packages

  • Premium: Unlimited packages
