CredFolio's CME tracking system helps you manage continuing medical education credits across multiple state licenses, ensuring you meet all requirements for renewal.
How Does CME Tracking Work?
When you upload a CME certificate, CredFolio automatically:
Extracts credit information — Hours, credit type, completion date
Identifies special topics — MATE Act, opioid training, ethics, and more
Allocates to your licenses — Distributes credits based on your state requirements
Tracks your progress — Shows completion status for each requirement
How Do I Set Up CME Tracking?
To set up CME tracking for your licenses:
Step 1: Add Your Medical Licenses
Go to Settings → Licenses and add all states where you hold a medical license.
Step 2: Set Renewal Dates
Enter your license expiration dates so we can calculate your current CME cycle.
Step 3: Upload CME Certificates
Upload your CME certificates and CredFolio will automatically track your progress toward each requirement.
What Does the CME Dashboard Show?
Progress Overview
The main CME dashboard displays:
Total hours completed — Sum of all CME credits in your current cycle
Hours required — What your state(s) require for renewal
Progress bar — Visual indicator of your completion percentage

Many states require specific topics. CredFolio tracks these separately:

You can edit any extracted data before confirming. The system always asks you to verify information before it's saved to your CME records.
How Do I Know Which Requirements I Still Need?
The CME dashboard shows a progress tracker for each requirement. Incomplete requirements display the remaining hours you need to complete.
