Manage your CredFolio account, profile, subscription, and preferences from the Settings page.

How Do I Access Settings?

To access your account settings:

  1. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner

  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu

Profile Settings

In Profile Settings, you can update your personal and professional information:

  • Display name — How your name appears in the app

  • Email address — Used for login and notifications

  • Profile photo — Optional avatar image

  • Credentials suffix — Professional designations (MD, DO, NP, etc.)

  • NPI number — National Provider Identifier

  • Primary practice state — Your main practice location

How Do I Add a Medical License?

To add a new medical license:

  1. Upload your medical license document (PDF or image)

  2. Our AI automatically extracts the license details

  3. Review and confirm the extracted information

  4. Your license is now tracked with expiration alerts

Tip: Upload your license documents to enable accurate CME tracking with state-specific requirements.

Notification Preferences

Control how CredFolio communicates with you:

  • Expiration reminders — Alerts before credentials expire

  • CME deadline warnings — Notifications about upcoming CME requirements

  • Product updates — New features and improvements

Notification Channels

  • Email — Available on all tiers

  • SMS — Available on Pro and Premium tiers

  • Calendar integration — Coming soon on Premium tier

Subscription & Billing

How Do I View My Current Plan?

Go to Settings → Subscription to see:

  • Current subscription tier

  • Billing cycle and next payment date

  • Feature limits for your tier

How Do I Upgrade My Plan?

To upgrade your subscription:

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription

  2. Click Upgrade Plan

  3. Select your new tier (Pro or Premium)

  4. Choose monthly or annual billing

  5. Complete payment through Stripe

Save Money: Annual plans include 2 months free compared to monthly billing!

How Do I Update My Payment Method?

Update your credit card or payment method in the Subscription section. We use Stripe for secure payment processing. Your payment information is never stored on our servers.

Security Settings

How Do I Change My Password?

To change your password:

  1. Go to Settings → Security

  2. Click Change Password

  3. Enter your current password

  4. Enter and confirm your new password

Connected Accounts

If you signed up with Google or social login, you can:

  • View your connected account

  • Add a password for email/password login

  • Disconnect social login (requires adding a password first)

Data & Privacy

How Do I Export My Data?

Data export functionality is coming soon. You'll be able to download all your credentials, documents, and CME records in standard formats. CME report exports are currently available for paid users.

How Do I Delete My Account?

Warning: Account deletion cannot be undone after the 30-day grace period. All your documents, credentials, and data will be permanently deleted.

To delete your account:

  1. Go to Settings → Security

  2. Click Delete Account

  3. Review the data that will be deleted

  4. Click I Understand

  5. Type DELETE-CREDFOLIO to confirm

  6. Enter your password

  7. If you have two-factor authentication, enter your 6-digit code

  8. Click Delete My Account

30-Day Recovery: You can recover your account by logging back in within 30 days. After that, all data is permanently deleted.
